Improving adherence and sexual reproductive health is critical in ensuring they have a quality of life and access to care.This presentation will explore the current landscape of HIV in Kenya and provide strategies to improve adherence and sexual reproductive health in adolescents living with HIV. Method: Kenya has the fourth highest number of people living with HIV in the world. Adolescents aged 10-19 account for 6.3% of all people living with HIV in the country. Adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) is a challenge for adolescents living with HIV in Kenya. Low levels of adherence can lead to drug resistance and poor health outcomes. Improving Adherence. Adherence to ART can be improved by providing adolescents with a comprehensive package of services that includes psychosocial support, HIV education, and health promotion. Health providers should also focus on building trust and rapport with adolescents, and providing tailored support to their individual needs. Results: Adolescents living with HIV in Kenya are at risk of unintended pregnancies, HIV transmission, and other sexually transmitted infections. Comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services should be made available to them.These services should include HIV prevention and counseling, access to contraception, and prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections. Conclusions: Adolescents living with HIV in Kenya face unique challenges in managing their health. Improving adherence and sexual reproductive health is essential to ensure they have access to quality care.This presentation has explored the current landscape of HIV in Kenya and provided strategies to improve adherence and sexual reproductive health in adolescents living with HIV.
