Limited data are available on chemsex outside major cities in France. The aim of our study was to investigate the practice of chemsex among individuals consulting in STI centers in Normandy, France. Method: All STI centers in Normandy decided, over a year, to systematically question people consulting for STI test or HIV-PREP prescription on chemsex practice. Data were collected on psychoactive substance use, and impact of chemsex on their life. Results: Between May 2022 and May 2023, 119 (1,4%) people consulting in 9 STI centers in Normandy, declared using drugs in a sexual context. Overall 7 (5.9 %) were women, the median age was of 32 years (IQR27, 43) , 37 % were PREP users, 33 % had received a Mpox vaccine, and 33 % were diagnosed for at least one STi during the study period (vs 5 % for other consultants p<0.001). Fifty-six users (47.1%) declared using alcohol, cocaine, cannabis and poppers but no synthetic drugs. Among the 65 synthetic drugs' users, 38 (60%) declared using 3MMC alone or with GHB (21 %), 38% were diagnosed for at least one STI, 22 % declared that chemsex impacted their personnel or professional life, and 32 % declared needing help to deal with chemsex. All chemsex users were proposed a consultation in addictology. Conclusions: In our area, 1.4% of the consultants of STI centers practiced chemsex. Though accounting for a small proportion of consultants, systematic screening for CHEMSEX practice appeared essential to STI centers to reduce risks and harms since CHEMSEX users had a high prevalence of STIs, and one third of them already felt the need of a support in addictology.
