EACS2023: 562 Cost dynamics of ARV therapy in resource limited southern countries: what needs to be done S Rohan HAOI-NGO, Med, Dhule, India General data Abstract category: Access and delivery of care Abstract body Purpose: We need Integration of HIV researchers [immunologists] with community CBO’s [community based organisations] in resource poor settings PLWHA needs price discounts on antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) to resource-constrained countries. Appropriate community models for PLWHA by incorporating with reproductive health set-up are necessary. Cost of ARV drugs is debatable. Since September 2017 various community initiatives are implemented to reduce cost of ARV’s. CBO’s need to facilitate development of sound & sustainable HIV care programs in marginalised communities. Reproductive & HIV care programmes are implemented with active community participation. Various national & international programs offer ARV drugs, diagnostics & technical assistance to PLWHA [people living with HIV/AIDS]. We need to establish common strategy to develop of sound & sustainable HIV/ARV care programs. Method: This is a public health policy paper by immunologists by Retrospective cross sectional data analysis. In last 3 years multiple dialogues are established with NGO’s, Medical institutions in 4 provinces. Distribution shows 8 NGOs (42.9%), 4 governments (4.2%) & 16 private entities (42.9%). Of these 12 are running with IA’s: 10 NGOs (56%), 2 government (6%) & 5 private entities (38%) & 2 corporate/Pharma sector initiatives for PLWHA. Reproductive & HIV care services implemented together show more positive outcome. Results: Participation of Community NGO with HIV researchers is very effective. Community mass intervention has proven useful to promote reproductive & sexual health in rural countries. Pharma industry has active role in HIV intervention by supporting drug supply. Uniform policy needed to implement & expand cost-cutting measures to include a broader range of HIV related products. Conclusions: Promoting dialogue between HIV researchers and government authorities will accelerates access to expensive ARV's. HIV advocates from NGO's needs platforms like EACS meetings to further this development of subsidized ARV for PLHIV from resource limited southern countries. General conditions 1.
