You can get to Rotterdam by plane via Rotterdam The Hague Airport, located 30 minutes away from Ahoy, or via Amsterdam with a 25 minutes direct train from Schiphol Airport. The new Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre is a sustainable building. Thanks to its solar panel rooftop, a collaboration of the venue, the City of Rotterdam and the local energy company, events are powered by the sun for nearly 200 days per year. The rooftop also provides power for more than 300 households. Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands and unlike any other Dutch city. With its impressive skyline, Rotterdam is also called ‘the Manhattan on the Meuse’. Rotterdam’s international port is Europe’s biggest harbour.
